THE TROPICAL HOUSE: Cutting Edge Design in the Philippines
One of Casa Desigña’s projects was a 900 square-meter residence designed by one of the top architects in the Philippines, whose vision for the house was for it to be almost like a blank modernist canvas that could be filled with art and modern and contemporary furniture. The space is defined by its clean lines and open plan, so the residents can feel connected to the outdoors even while they remain inside. The overall effect and aesthetic caught the eye of Elizabeth V. Reyes who featured it in her book about homes that reflect the Filipino interpretation of the ‘tropical contemporary’ theme.

LIFESTYLE ASIA ‘Home & Away’ Volume 2
This was one of Casa Desigña’s Ready for Occupancy Luxury Home projects which was purchased by a couple who put their own aesthetic stamp on the space through their choice of furnishings. The abundance of natural light and large, inviting interiors that characterize the house make it the perfect showcase for the furniture, art, and mementos from the couple’s travels.

BluPrint: Tropical Architecture for the 21st Century Book 3
This 595 square-meter home took the Casa Desigña team 15 months to complete–9 months before the architect’s estimated completion time–and the additional time went a long way in allowing the architect (also one of the top in the country) to retain the quality of the design and finishing. The house is characterized by its ventilation, with floor-to-ceiling windows enveloping the structure and allowing for gusts of wind, so common in the area, to cool down the interiors. This openness to incorporate the environment into the design and construction was the main reason the project fit so well with the theme of Book 3 of BluPrint’s popular architecture series.
